Registering for Admissions Testing
These sites allow you to either register and/or practice for the major college admissions exams: the ACT and the SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Tests. As an international student (non-US citizen), who might be attending an international school with an American curriculum, don't assume you are exempt from taking the TOEFL. Check with your college admissions office.
- ACT Registration
- Using a credit card, students (grades 10-12) in the US can register here to take the ACT. US students in grades 7-9, students not attending school in the US, students with special circumstances (fee waivers, disabilities) must still use paper registration forms. Don't ask me why!
- SAT Registration/College Board Online
- Register here to take SAT Reasoning and SAT Subject Tests. A reminder that not all colleges will accept Rush Score reports.
- TOEFL
- Details about registering for TOEFL (testing sometimes required by colleges for admission when English is not your first language). Offers options for practice. Often required if your SAT verbal score is below a specified minimum score and there is the influence of another language other than English in your home.
